Since having my service done and springs fitted my wipers haven't been returning to the sides fully. Does anyone know why this might be? They don't quite go all the way into the side position, stay out into the screen by about 2cm and it's bugging me!

They do attempt to slide back in when the wipers have finished the last wipe but they don't move all the way into the side panel. Any ideas?

Sounds like they are set to auto, so they don't go all the way back on that setting - not sure how long without wet on the sensor until they do retract fully, but thats usually the reason they stay out a bit.
I bet if you change the stem control to manual, they go all the way back like they used to.

Checked with Seat UK to see if my brothers new MK2 has had the injectors changed. They confirmed it has been done. I thought while I'm on the phone I'll check to make sure mine has been done as I was told by Seat UK when I bought it that it has had them.

To my surprise my car has not had them changed, even though I have email proof from the Seat saying that it has been done. Their system says otherwise.

Rang my local dealer who have booked it in no problems for next Tuesday. :)

is that just for the PD170 or should i be checking mine on the CR170?

Drove the Mrs' car (A3) today for the first time in about 10 months and my god it was awful! I knew it needed the front tyres replacing but this felt terrible, was pulling hard to the left and was almost undrivable.

Anyway I thought I would check the tyres for uneven wear and I'm so happy I did. This is what I found.....

Have no idea what could of caused this, as everthing looks ok visibly around the suspension etc and tracking was done not far over 6-8 months ago.

I put the spare on which has greatly improved things. Going to get it checked out asap though.

Also my brother picked up his MK2 FR yesterday and brought it round to show me. It's a little strange as we are twins and now both have black MK2 FR's lol.

Alignment, toe-out would be my guess looking at those pics

Cheers Rich,Not at the moment mate it has a pipercross panel filter but doubt that does anything. Will be getting an exhaust next think I'm going with a BCS cat back.

That will help her flow better once on I will probably take another visit to Niki for some tinkering

Good choice with BCS :)
Up to you, but I would go for the downpipe first rather than a cat back. That'll flow better and give good gains. The standard downpipe is total rubbish lol

Its the same on auto as manual. I might try changing them to the service position and then back again to see if it changes how far they tuck in. Cheers.

Glad there sorting it out for you mate happy days

lol who the fuċk is that supposed to be on the bonnet!?

I'm forever dismayed about how dodgy that injector thing is with Seat UK, bet if you ring them back up they will give you the opposite answer for both lol.

Really can't tell who the feck it's meant to be mate but it is hideous lol

Yes would love the full system but may do cat back then get a downpipe a month later due to funds. Saying that though knowing me I'll just think sod it and do it all in one hit lol.

i started to replace the exhaust on my mk2 .. was more troublesome than i orignally thought and had to get it out in one piece. fitting the new one tomorrow

and as a bonus i found my lost number plate light in the bumper but then found a previous bodge job taking a feed off the nearside bulb. makes me wonder what clowns originally worked on this car that couldnt be bothered to reach up inside the bumper and retrieve the proper offside light.

Fitted Gti style aluminium pedals today. Picked them up this morning and put them in just now.
Easy to fit and they look so much better than normal black ones.

Will a pre facelift upper front bumper grill fit a facelift car??

Seen some nicely done badgeless grills, but they're marketed as pre facelift....I can't find any marketed as for the facelift.

Are they basically the same??

Wont fit mate. I like that grille too as I think I know which one you mean.
