Hi all just looking for some advice!!

I have h7 hids fitted to my car all aligned properly but I'm still getting flashed at by some of the other drivers now I know hids areent road worthy but I love the power out put and at how clear they make the road!!!

So basically my question is what's the best h7 bulb I can buy for my cupra R with similar out put

Cheers

Richie, try H7R bulbs - they have a coating on one part of the glass which are better for aftermarket HIDs in our cars

I've got the 35W 6000K set with the H7R bulbs and not been flashed with them and they are brilliant at lighting up the night streets
They also compliment the colour of car as well :D

H7r are meant for the reflector style headlamps that our mk1's are fitted with, you WILL dazzle people with standard h7 bulbs

Mine are 35w 5000k, almost pure white

Got mine from fleabay, about 18 months back now, can't remember the seller but I know it wasn't hids-4-u, think they were about £35-40. Just remember sidelight bulbs too or it will look crap

Can't help you there I'm afraid. I know the 6000k look good too but I chose the 5's
The 6's were just a little too blue for me.
I see your a local lad too, get yourself on the meets soon mate they're a great bunch of lads (and a couple of lasses)

So the 5000K are more white than the 6000K? I'm looking in to this mod myself, I just don't know what the hell to go for lol, I kept thinking 6000K as that's what I see most people going for, they look pretty nice but I see some pictures with text stating 6000K are Diamond Blue and others stating they are White?

Yours look more white to me Sam, so from what I gather the 6000K are Diamond Blue?

High and Low beam (Headlight full and Sidelights I take it that's what this means?) when doing the front lights?

What do you think to this site? Albeit find the kit I need then try to get the one I need from eBay?

Yes, the higher the K the more blue they become, mine are pretty pure white yes and 6000k will be a tinge blue. High beam to me would be full main beam and low beam would be dipped with sidelights. I just did low beam and got matching sidelight bulbs.

Those ones in the link look ok but you don't need canbus ones so you could get some cheaper non canbus

Thanks Sam!

Will go for the 5K as I would like to go more White than any blue haha!

Ahh, I didn't know anything concerning the canbus, etc. As you can probably tell I'm not very wise concerning lighting (or the cars albeit I know more now than what I did before coming to SCN! :D)

You say you got the low beam and matching side lights, I'm not fully getting this site haha!

I'm guessing these are low beam (anti glare) only? As for the next link here it shows a wide variety of different ones which is where I'm now lost.

On the second link it states bulbs such as H4-1 (lo beam), H4-3 (Hi/lo beam), H7r (Anti Glare) etc.

I will hazard a guess that I will need to get just one set with those three being the same? I don't know haha I'm sorry I'm lost

What bulb types would I need to go for to do my headlights and side lights? I have my number plate done in super bright white, looking to do interior, headlights and side lights but I'm completely lost :(

I've seen people saying they have gone H7R so it doesn't blind oncoming drivers, I definitely don't want to be doing that! :)
