So what's the true gains for the 280? As it quotes on the website 330 ps but Cupra's on rolling roads produced what makes no difference 300bhp so to me the gains seems to suggest weaker results as opposed to the opposition from Audi and VW.

my CRD-T and Airfilter for 2.0 tdi 150 is still for sale. was asking £200 but would now take £180 inc post.

Couldn't get cheaper than that, anyone wanting a DTUK box should take that with both hands :)

A chap local to me had one on Gumtree for 150, just collected tonight for 110. Same box, just newer, purchased this year, with receipt. Happy days. Cheers anyway Big D.

that'll teach me to log in earlier!
enjoy - and please post your findings/feelings....

First Thoughts. Possibly the best money I've ever spent.
I fitted the Pipercross filter & went out for a quick spin. No noticable performance increase but a slightly meatier induction roar but not at all intrusive. Nice.
Then I fitted the DPUK unit. It took all of two minutes. It's set at 2+1, thanks Michael. The improvement in acceleration is very noticable but it's the increase in torque that's the revalation. Grunt everywhere, right throughout the rev range.
I've done around 30 miles of mixed driving & the computer tells me I've averaged 52mpg, whereas before it would have been early/mid 40's.
It's early days but I'm seriously impressed.
Andrew, I know I'm not exactly on your doorstep, but if you fancy a day out in Yorkshire you are welcome to come up & try it on your car.

Sounds great! Can't wait to install mine - cars currently only on 335 miles!

Not to keen on putting it on now whilst it's still on sub 1000 miles?...any opinions on this folks??

What filter have you got? Panel or cone?

appreciate that - thanks!
I doubt I will though - I think I'll have to just do it....as if standard figures and performance aren't enough.....Sunday Times columnist Charles Clover happened to add a paragraph about his diesel 2010 "ecomotive" Seat that only does about 37 MPG, far less he expected. I had to mail him and tell him my 2.0 does over 50 everywhere. Tells me he's thinking of getting a Fiesta petrol now, as he has to wring his car's neck to get anywhere, hence the high consumption. Everybody with the DTUK box gets better go AND better mpg. It's the sensible thing to do.....is that going to convince Mrs P do you think? When she's wearing a surgical collar from whiplash?
