Attn people with seat sound system

Hello, I would like to know from people with the seat sound system option 2015/2016 with full tech pack. When you first turn on the head unit does it say seat sound system on the display?

Also does it have subwoofer control in the settings?

I want to get the sub retrofitted and just need to know if it's just wiring and a sub and does not involve coding the head unit.

Hi just seen your private message...

I do indeed have the SEAT Sound option. When my screen starts up it doesn't mention the SEAT Sound but I get a SEAT logo and also a big FR logo underneath it. Maybe if I didn't have the FR id get the SEAT Sound logo?

Yes I do have a subwoofer option in my sound settings. See image:

Maybe when a sub is installed, the option will appear??

Thanks for the pics and info much appreciated, yes I'm sure mine will say FR on the start up screen too. I think it's going to be a coding issue to activate the sub control ����

I do have VCDS 15.7.4 (I think!) and I couldn't see anything to do with SEAT sound in there. In fact it's a bit unsupported at the moment!

I couldn't get into the head unit part as it wanted a password/pass code

Yeah you are correct in thinking that, I have been reading on a Spanish Leon forum and looks like it could be a main dealer Job as its to do with svm. There is another diagnostic tool called VCP which codes it with no issues at all. But it's not easily available like Vcds. The Pr option code to look for is 9VD which is seat sound.

Also I have GPS maps inside and android and the sound goes from the driver twitter speaker, does anyone know how to fix it ? to be in all the speakers ?

Yes all resolved, VAG car coding managed to do it for me. All works very well with subwoofer control now appearing in the menu.

He didn’t charge me anything as I was one of the first he had done but I can’t seeing being too much.

Does your retrofitted sub sits in the spare wheel or it's one of those flat boot ones, or perhaps even underseat?

It sits in the spare wheel well in a polystyrene insert which also holds the tool kit. The subwoofer takes the place of a spare wheel.
