Mapping session I
I now have a basemap on my ECU after an exiting mapping session. The mapping day started off with ECU going into safe mode protection that was preventing us from revving beyond 4000RPM.
No engine module fault codes besides airbag and ABS where present and not something that was thought to generate the safe mode. ECU was re-coded to remove the fault codes in hope of it being the reason of the safe mode and it was.
Mapping was done by gradually increasing boost on the maps in steps and doing live road logging each time to determine if all was looking good.
The map in my opinion should deliver power in an safe way! I'm not focused on large power numbers as I rather see less but know it's solid!
In the last map we settled on 1.55bar of boost, 0.80 in lambda, 800C in EGT and 0.65 on the N75 duty cycle.
Map is designed to deliver a flat power curve instead of a peak, this is an overall better solution for my set up and the engine components.
Seeing timing pull, up to 5.5 on cylinder 1 and 4 on cylinder 2, which I believe is due to slight difference of the knock sensor location on my engine block.
As per my old post in this thread you can see the red line in the image and understand the difference.
I will confirm spark plugs, coils pack are healthy and do a compression test before session II of the mapping is initiated. The map will be fine-tuned and dyno numbers wheel be shared on here

WMI tank
Been trying to figure out where to fit my WMI tank for some while now. It would be convenient to use the washer fluid reservoir but it's limited to 5 Liters. During spirited driving I've manged to use up 5 Liters rapidly and been forced to refill.
This time I was determine to fit an larger reservoir with the capacity for more WMI if I like so. Ended up fitting a 12 Liter reservoir in between the front seats, easy to refill as I don't need to open up the bonnet.
This location moves weight from the already heavy front of the car and enables me to mount the WMI pump inside of the interior, WMI pumps are known to brake down due to the harsh outside environment.
I've connected the low level breaker to the cluster FIS so that I get a signal in the FIS when I need to refill, the oem washer fluid is removed anyway =).

Hey Popov,To keep my methanol addiction under control I collected some more meth today. 25L should do for the coming up mapping session this week.
Not mapping for the WMI but like the results of it anyhow.

Steel, yes mainly for the cooling purposes but also for the cleaning of the valves. Offcourse there is an octane boost benefit aswell but not taken into account on the map itself.
Mapping session II
I deer say that the Cupra R25 is alive at last, a dream of mine has become reality a year after me purchasing the first part for it.
This is really a VAG hybrid build and it's a first in many ways for the time being.
Some won't understand why I've invested time and money and think I'm a wannabe. This project is about doing something that hasn't been done before, achieving something different that I haven't done before.
Never done a swap earlier, never even pulled an engine. I'm an office rat at work and this has basically been a one man show.
Enough bragging and onto the results from the second and final mapping session at this stage of the project.
A second day was used to fine tune the final map and to get all working, the progress is shown in the first attached dyno sheet.
I'm now pushing 525 hp (not WHP) and 697 Nm without WMI, 98 RON fuel, 16 C ambient temperature. I'm confident I'll get even better numbers with WMI but I couldn't get it to spray during the mapping session.

There's a guy on Instagram with a cupra pushing close to 600hp! ive seen a vid of him take a stock GTR on!!
I think he only done a big turbo upgrade along with a few other bits but nothing to the extent of your project.
Be sure to hit up drag races after the monster is completed.

You can see how we where struggling on keeping power from the wheels on to the dyno. Due to my car being lower then usual we could not get it tide up the proper way on the dyno.

Control FIS
I'm found of measuring my engine performance when driving, it's an easy way of monitoring the engine health. VCDS is an great tool but you need to connect to an external device to display the measurements.
Luckily there are devices that utilize the cluster display (FIS) , the FIS Control is one of those. The benefit of the FIS Control to others on the market is that it can read DTC's, connect other sensors by your choice and control external relays.
During driving I mainly monitor misfires, timing pull and lambda. Besides that I like to have an eye on my temperatures, in the image the following is displayed.
