I have ordered a SEAT Leon FR Technology 1.4TSI 125 through Bristol Street Motors on 12th August 2017 through PCH.

I still don't have any dates from the factory, surely by now they should have given my dealer a date.

I am aware that the factory closes for 4 weeks in August, and I hope all this trouble in Catalonia isn't going to add more time.

What has anyone else been told about the Factory Lead times at the moment?

Ordered mine end of August (although mine is a 150), has a delivery date of February. There are next to no 125 or 150s around for dealer transfers and quite a long wait list

Ordered a 5dr FR 1.8 tsi Dsg on July 3rd, asked my dealer if any progress this week and he said still no confirmed build date. He did tell us it could be a while when we ordered but I'm starting to lose hope now:(

It should take a couple of weeks to get a build date but delivery dates can take a while.

I'd check with the dealer again as I ordered mine end of August and have both a build and delivery date

I think the dealer probably means nothing is locked down yet, this is the second time I have asked for a rough timescale and he seems reluctant to commit probably due to the fact dates keep getting pushed back. There is no rush for me to have the car, it's purely my own impatience. This is a Motability order for us and there isn't anything else on the list of available cars that comes close to matching price/performance of the Leon so guess I'll just have to wait it out.

Ordered a cupra end of July been told build week 9 (Feb/March) then it’s got to be delivered. It’s a joke.

Ours is notability also :)

We've ordered a 1.4 150bhp Sports Tourer with the DSG gearbox. Went for it in Mystery Blue

There's a similar thread running further down the forum. For reference, I ordered mine (1.4TSI 125 FR Technology 5dr) in late-June and still don't have a confirmed build date.

First unconfirmed date was week 5 (29/01/18) though this has recently been brought forward to week 48 (20/11/17). Still unconfirmed though so hopefully will come forward again!

Mine is a 5 door hatch FR 1.8Tsi, ordered on 18 July, build week was the week before last (apparently), estimated with the dealer week after next, that would be approx. the 12 weeks the dealer told me at point of order........ no longer believe it, my dealer seems unable to confirm that it was built 2 weeks ago and that it is on it's way to the UK, take a look in the other thread, there are cr*p loads of options and body styles/engines that will add to the pain further. On Monday I start my assault on SEAT UK :)

Spoke to my dealer when I dropped mine off for service and 1.4 engine is apparently a 6 month wait minimum!!!! Then there's the issue of which options you pick and the waits they entail.

Ordered SEAT Leon Xcellence 184 TDI on 17 July, to be told provisional date 23rd October then mid September I was informed by dealer 3rd week in march.
Not a happy chap so straight on to SEAT UK customer services.
I now have confirmed build date 23rd October, delivery November

Wish I had as much success. I tried SEAT UK last week and was basically told to like it or lump it.

Mentioned that I was considering cancelling and the only reaction was that I need to call my dealer to do that.

I then asked if a temporary car could be provided between the delivery date I was originally told and new date, again I need to call my dealer to do that.

Dealer then said there's nothing he can do to help.

Really disappointed as the deal I got was so good, nowhere else can match it. For the same price I'm looking at cars a class below.

Is there anything in particular you said that got stuff moving? Ask to speak to anyone in particular?

Only that this would be my 6th SEAT in 13 years and both my current and last cars were both involved in diesel emission scandal. Not the best way to regain customer confidence. Threatened to cancel and look at other manufacturers.
They said they would look into the delay. Next day dealer confirmed build date.

Ordered a SE Dynamic 1.2 TSi, today from Bristol Street, usual 8 weeks or thereabouts, but they did say 1.4 lead times were lengthy. Is this due to the new 1.5 EVO engine ramping up production wise as stocks of the 1.4 are used up???

Now with the issues in Catalonia at the mo I've started looking around at other PCH deals

Initially, I'm was not too bothered to wait, until the new plate if necessary, but now I'm not sure I could wait until April time

Some decent PCH deals at CVL on petrol Octavia vRS hatches at the mo
Just saying ...

Could be, the 150 1.4 however though is also in the Ateca which has also had strong demand

It's used throughout the entire vag brand which is why there is so much demand. Basically it took off with it being a very good all round engine with reasonable power and good economy, now they can't keep up with demand.

Let us know how this goes, I have a very similar order to yours - just two weeks later. I've not even managed to get a build week from my dealer yet!
