Hello

Some help please: Mk1 Leon 1.9 TDI

Under hard acceleration when joining dual carriageway something popped under bonnet and some black smoke, car behind me dropped back so think scared him.

Loss of boost, pulled over, and this hard plastic pipe which runs from a short rubber pipe which in turn comes from the top of the intercooler, the long end connects to a rubber 90 degree elbow pipe which then connects to the EGR.

when it popped off it was rubbing against timing pulley and you can see the hole.

I have searched no' stamped on it but not finding owt'

110 and ASV engine I believe on 03 plate

Glad I could help. Unless there's a bung on there for a sensor, it seems the kind of thing that you could upgrade to silicone. I'm sure I saw a metal upgrade as well on google images when looking for you.
