Hi mate I have the exact same carHi all, my check oil level warning came on(first time).
I embarrassed to say I don't which is the correct oil. Its leon fr 184 diesel. I have a bottle of 5w-30 in the garage from my last car. Is that the right one?
Cheers, I'll get the garage to put that in when I have a service.Hi mate I have the exact same car
And I put nothing but this, its long life and works a charm. Don't put any other **** in and continually top it up don't let the warning come up again.
Hope it helps

Worse mpg on the Castrol oil I posted? This exactly, I had this very oil in my car from factory, went for the first service after 21 months, thinking, surely the new oil would make it better, or get more mpg. The new non-long life oil (according to Seat, this was Texaco oil and not Castrol) and I felt the engine was worse, and trip PC showed worse mpg right after, and consequently after till I returned the car.

Ahhh it's not often im right lol!No no, car came on Castrol Edge Professional oil, at the first service they changed the oil to Texaco branded. One would assume, as the oil is new, should give better performance or mpg compared to the old 20+ months oil. But no, it was 4-5 mpg down with the new Texaco oil. So for me, it's thumbs up for Castrol due to this..
