Which oil 2.0 TDI 184

Hi everyone just wondering which oil you would recommend for my car?

Some sites say 5w 30 some 0w 30 obviously fully synthetic.

Does it need to be c3 and the VW 505 thing as well ?

Whats the difference between the two ? 5w and 0w

I don't need long life oil as I do so many miles it has an oil change every 5 months lol

VW 504 00 5W-30

VW/Seat did change the recommendation to 0W-30 but they have now changed it back. The switch to the thinner oil was because polar bears but my guess is that they've had issues because the older engines were not designed for it.

You want an oil that meets the VW spec. Not a big problem as there are plenty available.

Thank you so much mate for your help that's great to know i can go for the 5w 30 as it's much cheaper and meets standards are miller a good brand for oil ? Cheers mate

I don't know. I've never bought Millers oil. But any oil which has the VW spec on it will be fine. I can't remember now but I think there are a couple of different VW spec oils that will be ok but the one I've listed is definitely one of them. VW 507 00 rings a bell?

Millers is good oil. Run it for years in my Impreza.
