19" Copper Alloy wheels

My car has the "standard" 19" diamond cut wheels. The 19" copper alloys were an option on the design pack and are now an option on the FL Ateca. The option cost is £999, and someone on facebook (a mate down the pub) told me you could buy these from Seat/Cupra for £999.

If this is the case, does anyone know where/how you can do this?
Or otherwise, how much would a set of copper alloys cost?

Contemplating a summer/winter set with respective tyres. Cheers

Hello there,

the Cupra Ateca copper rim alloys are something like £300 to £350 brand new per each wheel.

The part number I think is
5F9 071 499A HPN
(8Jx19" ET45)
Bolt circle fitment 5 X 112
Weight is close to 13kg I think.

You possibly might be able to obtain a discount or package deal when purchasing a Cupra Ateca new from the dealership, looks like there's possibly a price difference in these Cupra copper rims, between the Leon and Ateca.

Cupra Leon (copper rims £600 to £650)
wheel weight roughly 11 kg

Cupra Ateca (copper rims £300 to £350)
Wheel weight roughly 13kg

I honestly didn't think there would be that much of a price difference between the two models, but your mate from down the pub could be spot on regarding the cost of close to £1000

Done some research and managed to find this thread from this forum late last year. Link below.

Well this is interesting, thank you. Definitely more complicated than I hoped it would be (the other thread) but £300 each is pretty reasonable so I will look into it!

I did some checking on the price of the copper wheels. Gulp! About £650 each in the sale! That's about £2.700 for four. Perhaps the "mate in the pub" was trying to sell stolen wheels?

I bought a spare set of alloys and Pirelli winter tyres for about £1500 and I am happy to stay with the standard diamond cut for summer use.

And if you have Brembo's with the 20" x 8J copper allots they're ET40, 575.601.025.AM

I'd be intersted in the rim details of any 19" rime that fit's over the Brembos, fo winter use.

I know, these wheel are from Cupra Ateca Limited Edition (before facelift), but they are to slim (only 8J). These rims will return in the next special edition.

I have Leon Cupra ST (2017), and 20" is too big for me :)

As I have a spare damaged copper wheel it’s in getting powder coated gloss black to match the face lift ateca’s front. Should have it back by the end of the month to see what it’s like. I don’t fancy spending £500 every time one is damaged and due to the finish being a copper lacquer over diamond cut, I couldn’t find any one to repair. Found shops who can deal with this type of wheel but none that had a colour match or the time to try to make one up.
shame as i expect there are a lot of these damaged in peoples sheds or garages.

A good rim renovator can handle this. The problem is fine CNC ridges.

The copper color is:
Cup Copper L27A
Standox Standohyd Plus Basecoat Base Mate
