Rear passengers door....

If I’ve been driving and the auto door locks come on when I open the drivers to unlock the rear the rear passenger isn’t unlocking outside. Also when I lock my car the passenger door lock thing that goes up and down by the window only goes half way in? Any ideas?

More time consuming than difficult.
2 hours per door, but then i stopped for coffee......

If you have the skills to do that, you'll be able to change the catch mechanisms

As above, you can put your money on it been the poxy door lock mechanism.
They really are quite crap on these cars.

I've got a complete nearside rear door here as it happens, someone was supposed to collect it today amongst other things but they seem to have gone off the radar so might just strip it down now.
Give me another day and I'll be able to let you know if the lock is up for grabs.

I'm assuming the "little stick bit" you are referring is the door locking pin so I gather you have an early pre-facelift Cupra as later ones don't even have these?

Yes mate mines an 02 pre facelift. It goes down nearly all the way then pops back up just a tiny bit. The door is locked but the stick isn’t all the way down

It might be worth whipping the door card off to see if the rod has jammed.

Thai however if you have any the tiny silver clips that hold the engine cover screws to the engine?

There you go mate. They slot into the metal brackets that attach the cover to the engine
