Just been told after i checked with the dealer that my VZ2 due to me in March will NOT have the Virtual Pedal even though the Jan 2021 brochure says it will have it.

It should be with the dealer in a few weeks do ill be making a visit to check if it has or not.

It is the 310 model and i dont know when it was built as its not yet at the dealers. I was tolf when i bought it that it was already in the UK so im hoping it does already have the Virtual Pedal, although thats not the reason i bought it.

I think it depends on when the car is built. The Jan 2021 brochure shows it fitted to the VZ1 and VZ2 but the delaer “believes” it is not fitted. Only time will tell.

Well, we need confirmation from someone who knows, not believes. I'd rather not wait until March to confirm it. If I have to cancel the order, I would prefer to do it earlier than later. This would also give dealer more chances to find new buyer for it.

As soon as i see the car i can let you know. If the dealer doesn’t know if it comes fitted then
No-one will.

If the car is already in UK, they should be able to check exact spec from VIN. I will wait for someone to confirm it or deny, before contacting my salesman.

The VZ2 specification hasn’t changed. It has always had the electric tailgate and virtual pedal in the UK. I’ve just checked both brochures.

I know. Ive checked too. Email from my dealer this morning telling me spec has changed Jan 21. I think he is mixing VZ2 and V2 personally as the V2 no long has it.

*** Update ***

Cupra have been really good and have admitted there has been a mistake and it has gone to the highest level in the UK to resolve. They have confirmed that the vehicle that was due to be built in week 7 didn’t have the electric tailgate and virtual pedal, however they are cancelling that order and are building me my car in the specification I originally ordered with the electric tailgate and virtual pedal. The downside is it isn’t going to be built until week 9 or 10 but they are also refunding me the £465 price difference between the price I ordered the car at and the new price that excludes the electric tailgate.

Considering I didn’t email the CEO of Cupra until Saturday afternoon and they don’t work weekends, to have this resolved by Monday lunchtime is pretty impressive!

Just to add to this I spoke to my dealer this morning and he checked the manufacturer updates and said it's only been mentioned for the 1.5 V2 and the VZ2 definitely has the elec tailgate.

I think as it's been removed from the V2 spec in the brochure it's not included anymore

Yeah, dealer has just contacted me to say he has made a mistake and its the V2 that has had the Virtual Pedal removed.

The VZ2 still has the Virtual Pedal, confirmed by others on here and the January 2021 brochure.

But by then, hopefully lockdown will have eased and you can use your new toy? I've had mine nearly 5 weeks now and covered less than 400 miles, 60 of which were travelling home from the Dealer!

TBF it’s a hit and miss as to when it works. If there is the slightest of dirt on the car you look a bit nuts flapping your leg around. I just use the buttons.

There was probably car already produced with spec you wanted. Let us know if it has virtual pedal or not. Maybe you get lucky with car produced last year.
