I think most people on here choose jb4 or remap over the cruddy tdiHi,
I'm new to the forum and had a look around but didn't see what I was looking for.
Is anyone running the TDI tuning boxes? I've seen and read reviews and they seem decent, but would like to hear from folk with the same car as mine.
Cheers
Stuart
Just another generic Piece of garbage. How does the bluespark tuning box compare with a JB4? I realise the JB4 tend to have much more to them than most tuning boxes with the ability to read much more of what's going on. Just wondered if bluespark was similar. I'd generally prefer a custom rolling road map but at least if you go Revo or Apr it's tried and tested as far as generic maps go.
They didn't feature the JB4 unfortunately, as it would've shown it's the next best thing to a remap. Extremely customisable with in depth logging capabilities. Capable of strong power without issuesPersonally I would never consider a tuning box. Seen and heard lots of bad reviews and experiences, and this Darkside Developments video pretty much summed them up for me when I was looking into them:

Also, why would you trust a company who "specialise" in TDI tuning (yet can't get that right) to produce a box for your TSI?
What sensors does the JB4 plug into?100% this. Anything that spoofs sensor readings but doesn't access the canbus to check what side effects it's causing? That's a hard no from me. JB4 is the only plugin system I'd ever consider - just a shame it doesn't work on diesels otherwise tbh I'd have gone that route
Diesel cars are different from modern tsi engines. Tdituning boxes just dump a load of fuel in diesels. Modern tsi engines are more technical.Ran TDi tuning boxes on all of my previous diesel cars and never once had a problem. this included 2 Focus, 1 Mondeo and 1 mazda. To be honest there was always a marked difference when I removed it for servicing etc.
They are alright if you have a warranty you don't want to mess up, but if this is not an issue then yeh remaps are better
