No rear air conditioning control?

Anyone know what's going on here? Always had read control, but now it's completely gone.

The screen in the back shows off, but can't see a way to turn it on...

I’m not sure, but have you tried Synchronising the climate temperatures (tap one of the temperatures at the top then SYNC). I only suggest this because it would normally force all zones to sync to the drivers’ side.
