I'm 99% sure it will have - BUT I can't 100% confirm as it hasn't been cold enough for the PTC to activate.
The PTC is a lot more involved to change than the heater matrix - even though it is just in front of it! Heater matrix is simple and can slide in and out - BUT there is a metal frame in the way of the PTC so you have to undo quite a few of the dash mounting bolts to get enough 'wiggle room' to be able to remove the PTC.
Thanks for the quick reply. My Seat is left hand drive, so I have the knee airbag in my way.
Did you make any changes to the earth cable, or was it still usable?
The brown insulation seems to be affected, but the cupper wiring seems to be fine.

I didn't change the brown earth cable - it looked ok, I think the slightly melted insulation was fine to re-use.
I did look to see if I could get a spare earth cable/loom before I knew the PTC terminal was loose but I think it was part of the main harness! so very expensive/difficult to change.
Just make sure you turn it off in the settings so it can't come on.

Well this morning I had frost, I drove the car - heater on HI - had heat coming out the vents in less than 1 minute of driving so PTC must have kicked in and no nasty smells/smoke! so think this one is cured.
