I was waiting for iPhone 13 release in order to replace my iPhone 8 which is like new but 4G
looks like iPhone 13 it will not be charged by my Cupra... being in chat session with Apple support, Apple dude confirmed it

I'm going to keep my old iPhone 8 but... how Seat and Volkswagen stand for this ? This is not nice at all

I know that 12 pro can be charge, so what are the differences between iPhone 12 Pro to 13 pro?

What’s the reason for this, my 12 charges?

that's why I have posted here, I do not think that Apple guy in chat was right, so better to check with Cupra owners
he also said that 13 had ony 1 e-sim and 1 nano-sim, instead seems that has two e-sim

12 to 13 would have something different on charging as e.g. inverse-charge means that iPhone 13 iteself can charge other devices
if 12 charge with no issue, I will investigate more why 13 wouldn't or if this is a fake information, I'll post here

Charging systems on 12 and 13 are basically identical.

I know it's not something apple follow but wireless charging has standard's that most manufacturers will use.

Also apart from the processor the 13 is nigh on identical to the 12....

alright, alright, alright... pre-purchased, it'll arrive on September 24
I confirm it can be charged with no issues and has two e-sim and 1 nano-sim, I believe that Apple-Dudes have just a small knowledge...

Shouldn’t be an issue mate. The wireless charger on the Formentor is a universal Qi setup.

On that note, my iPhone 12 overheats on the wireless charger and I have take it periodically off the charger. Anybody else experience this?

Yes, so much so that I use a short cable to connect to the USB-C socket and place the phone face down in the charger box.

I have a 12 pro, it gets hot and skips in and out of charge, I wondered if the camera lenses cause issues lifting the phone away from the flat surface?

I have new iPhone 13 (not pro) it skips also to me you're probably right, camera lenses would be the root cause, I tried to lean it with display, it works but I'm usnure if is safe for the display in terms of overheating

I haven't, by my partner has. I think wireless charging is just a bit crap. Used to use one at night, but every couple of weeks it just wouldn't work properly.

I find that if it sits on the right of the mat (UK spec) then it charges but go around a right hand corner then it moved to the left of the mat then it stops. Mine also gets really hot and super laggy - 12 Pro.
