From what I know 17xx/18xx will be able to upgrade to 1890 when released to dealers. 16xx will initially have to upgrade to 1810, then my understanding it can then be upgraded to 1890. So then all Formentors will be running on the same software, which is much better for future updates. I'm not 100% sure on wireless AA, I think it should come with the infotainment update. Someone else maybe able to clarify this :) Looks like a lot of it is general software optimisation, to speed up the infotainment screen and fix the majority of issues people are reporting. As well as a few UI updates, but looks like nothing major. There is also news that new quad core Samsung chips with four times graphics performance will rolling throughout the VAG at some point, but not sure when that happening. Someone on the MK8 Golf forum posted a screenshot of a German car having H58 hardware code up from the current H56
OK, makes sense. Thank you.

I've also heard that the new MY Golf 8 gets the better H/w to speed things up.

Don’t think the AA will be applied to the earlier Formentors but it has it now on my July 21 model.
So it's a hardware limitation?

From what I've read, currently the revision D get Wireless AA, but the Revision B and C don't have it?

Is there any news about 1810 or newer. I have now 1803 and it was promised to fix Navi bugs(forgets preprogrammed addresses on every boot). But re updating did not fix anything.
My car is booked to have the whole infotainment ecu replaced later this month, to fix this 'forgetting' problem. I was on 1803.....

Wireless AA should come to 16xx units with the update to 1810, this has been confirmed by someone in the know.
...of course that if there are markets that specifically block it, YMMV - but it ceases to be a software limitation with this update.

To clarify (or add to the confusion....) the HW is the same on all cars regardless of firmware version, so, when the 16xx units get updated, weirdly enough, it seems the trailing letter in the HW version will also change (???)

Again, I know this sounds really weird, but my source is quite reliable - I doubt many know better what they are talking about.

Wireless AA works already on 1803.

I am being told by the dealership that there are no updates for my Seat Leon Estate ehybrid 21 plate (new July 21). Does this sound correct?
Does any one else have sat Nov showing lat/long and off road for history instead of real address.
Thanks.

What is the latest version I should expect when picking up my car next week?

I've asked the dealer to make sure it's updated during PDI / prep, but as I think the car was built in Nov 2021 it may be on an older version.

Looks like 1890 has now been released to dealers. Someone in the Cupra Formentor Owners FB group has had the update done on their car- many others are now booking in for the software update
Yeah, 1890 was apparently released on Monday. After getting a stop/start system error and drive system error this morning, I've booked mine in for the end of the month for the update which I hope should solve the errors, as well as a couple of other things to get done.

My car is built (got confirmation on 18/02) and should be shipped very soon (if it's not already on the way). Should I expect it to have the all singing and dancing software update when it lands outside my house?
