Strangely enough as it was installing I got an sos error for the first time ever!Yes this one cured the SOS errors for me, been a month or so with none. 1940 cured all the infotainment issues, finally completely fault free!

I think what the comment above meant was you can't literally connect your car to the low cost energy tariff unless your provider has a means to control either your charger or the car (like Octopus do with Intelligent Octopus via accessing the charger or the CupraConnect app via your login). What kind of issues does this fix guys? I've tried connecting my Cupra to an energy tariff recently but had no luck connecting the car as it cannot find it, does it fix this kind of issue with connectivity?
Thanks

So I've been able to connect to the Cupra app on Octopus energy after entering my car brand and model and all of them details. But after that when I press connect device where it searches for the car itself I have no luck. It doesn't seem to find it even with my location settings on my Cupra is share my position. I've also activated location settings for both the Cupra app and Octopus energy app on my phone. I've tried many times to connect to it however there is no luck. The only reason why I think it may be is even though I have the myCupra app, I don't pay for the full version which I think might be affecting the location of my car.I think what the comment above meant was you can't literally connect your car to the low cost energy tariff unless your provider has a means to control either your charger or the car (like Octopus do with Intelligent Octopus via accessing the charger or the CupraConnect app via your login).
So what's not worked for you and what have you tried to do?
Can you turn the charging on and off in your Cupra app? If you can, then Octopus should be able to do so as well as you have given them your login details. So I've been able to connect to the Cupra app on Octopus energy after entering my car brand and model and all of them details. Thanks for the info. Still no luck. I still believe its to do with me not paying for the fully licensed version of the cupra connect app as I cannot turn the charging on and off via the app unless I pay for it I think. The location detection is just so that the car knows it is at 'home' with your cheap electricity rate, if you plug it in somewhere else it won't stop the charge (which it does in order to activate the charging later during the cheap rate).
That‘ll do it, or in your case not do it. The hybrid features are only active in the full subscription version of the app. Thanks for the info. Still no luck. I don't have a wallbox / charger, I just use the granny charger overnight.I am still struggling a bit trying to work out what connecting to a car means from octopus app.
If you just turn all charge control off in the car from the in car infotainment system. Whenever energy is available, the car will then charge till it's at 100%.
To control when energy is available you would connect to your charger via the charger app ( eg Wallbox ) and set a schedule, and just make sure the cable is connected to the car at the right time.
If you had the charger installed by octopus it will be either a Ohme or Wallbox and they would have (sometimes...) connected it to your octopus account, but you can still configure them using the local app on your phone.
What am I getting wrong ?
What charger do you have ? Who installed it?
