Has anyone fitted one of these just by running wire in edge of trim, plugged into the 12v in the arm rest?

Considering getting a nextbase but not wanting to take the car apart to hardwire.
Yes, I have a Garmin minicam 2 wired to the 12v socket. Can be done fairly easily. Run down windscreen side of A pillar so barely visible. Then under door sill trim.

Hardest part is getting cable under passenger seat rails to the centre console.

Cheers!

Looking at getting one today, but having wires all over the place put me off.

Will look at hardwiring at a later date, but from vid on here looks pretty easy!

Definitely can vouch for the airbag switch throwing up an airbag error. I had to buy an OBDeleven to clear it because a normal OBD scanner can't even see the fault, let alone read it.

Hello, I have 73 plate formentor. Have owned it 4 weeks now, about 2 weeks ago I had a dash cam fitted by halfords. Since then, I've had random error messages popping up but not every day. Including parking brake failure, ACC unavailable, hill hold failure and driver door contact failure. On one occasion, it wouldn't let me open the driver door until I put the physical key in.

Wondered if anyone could give any advice please or let me know if you've had similar issues?
