2005 AGN changing HT leads from distributor

Hi

I've got new leads, easy to fit in the spark plug end but I can't get the old ones to budge off the distributor or what ever it's called these days

Is there a special trick to avoid damage?

All the 1.8t have coil on plug and no leads. AGN is a very uncommon engine in the leon.

Well that's what mine has got. Anyway managed to change them ok in the end, twisting the plugs firstly
