After more than 2 years since I started this mod, I’m excited to announce that I’ve completed Blind Spot Detection! It still needs a few touches (there are to much washers to achieve the correct angles), but overall, it works like a charm. Announces about cars in blind spots, helps to safely change line and it shows additional info on parking aid while reversing (RCTA). It's going to be one of my favorite mods!

Mehr als zwei Jahre nach Beginn dieses Mods freue ich mich, die Fertigstellung der Totwinkelerkennung bekannt geben zu können! Es sind noch ein paar Anpassungen nötig (es sind zu viele Unterlegscheiben nötig, um die richtigen Winkel zu erreichen), aber insgesamt funktioniert es einwandfrei. Es meldet Fahrzeuge im toten Winkel, hilft beim sicheren Spurwechsel und zeigt zusätzliche Informationen zur Einparkhilfe beim Rückwärtsfahren (RCTA). Es wird einer meiner Lieblingsmods!

Recently I've passed 100000KM milestone in my car. It was really great journey so far and hope it will stay the same!

Other than that car was recently in detailer shop. It received well deserved care:

• paint correction and ceramic coating
• few PPFs were added to the most crucial spots - piano blacks on B and C pillars, roof edge, door handle recess and trunk edge
• front and rear lamps are now protected with slight dark PPF
• carbon spliter was finally installed!

I've also dismantled front bumper and switched few things - bottom trim with a hole for a radar, black grille frame from Cupra and side trims with holes from Cupra. Here is a comparison photo when I bought it over 4 years ago and now

Where did you get this splitter? I’d love one that wraps around the front of the bumper like this. Looks perfect.

It's an OEM carbon splitter from Cupra R. I've bought second hand bumper (it wasn't cheap lol) and transferred splitter to my car.

I've seen that there is one company in Poland that is making similar looking splitter, but I don't know whether they are sending packages abroad:

Part Number 5FH863011LOE - Cupra Copper RHD.
To install the passenger side mat you have to cut out the car mat fixing rings. The car mat fixing rings can be brought from Amazon

That looks great! Do you think having a decent heat shield now will make a difference? Shame you’ve lost the gold now though, you had a bit of a theme going on!

I can still add gold

I noticed that that intake pipe picks up some (radiant) heat, but the question is if it makes a significant impact on performance. My gut feeling says no, but all little things add up in the end. So I might need to buy some extra gold tape haha

Got home. Reversed the FR up the drive. Opened the door a touch and reached for my keys, work id pass etc. Delighted to see the wind catch the door and smash it into the Cupra and dent the door. *ucking great.

Whatever you do, do NOT remove CP before you look to code/flash it as CP needs to be active to allow it to be fiddled with, for some bizarre reason LOL
