Hi All,

I would like to ask You if there is any chance for helping me in updating navi in my car.

Its Leon from 2015 with MIB2 HIGH and pretty old SW installed -> MHI2_ER_SEG11_P2105.

Currently my navi is running with maps from 2015/2016 versions (region EU_ALL).

I wanted to update it with newest map (2023/2024) from this link -> https://mib-helper.com/index.php?train=MHI2_ER_SEG11_P2105#details so I've simple download and unzip to sdcard and put it into car. Then from car menu went to updates (map update was found) but "start" button was greyed out.

Now is the question what is a reason for that? Too old SW or maybe something else?

I've checked also my FEC codes and didn't find there "023000ee", could that be the reason why I'm not able to perform update?

The Seat FEC to enable map updates should be 073000ee or 073000ff, mine is the later number.
The software you have is FW 0319, which is the same as mine was when new, I have updated to FW 1409, the HW is H42

Yes the FW is exactly as mentioned above.

So now the question, did someone knows how to add 073000ff FEC code?

I've download some latest package with patches from https://mib.mibsolution.one/ but I don't see there my SW.

Maybe there is some different place from where I can take it?

That's miss guidance the seriel release 450 maps with mib2 high only work with Audi or Skoda navigation FeCs. Seat did this before so I had Skoda FeCs already added. If you want 2026/27 maps you need to add the Skoda navigation FeCs via the mib2 high tool box or get a retrofitter to do that for you.

The issue is those people that post up links don't know the finer points of how Seat diverged from VW and Skoda. For mib2 high it happily worked for me since I was already set up then it became apparent why it was working for me when other Seat folk said they had an issue :ROFLMAO:. Seat boards know about this now, but generalist sites that post up file links don't, so leave traps for people to fall in.

For other readers the latest mib2 standard ones are here. Release 2710. 2027 maps.

How can i get install Skoda fec to my seat ? Actually i have newest AIO firmware and vcds

Yes you use the github link I posted.

You add the Skoda FeC to the existing Seat file at the end using the notepad editor. If successful after installation and running the update fec command. Reboot the unit and the additional FeC will appear on the unit. Your F on that line will change to T. You can then import the file.

See also if you are having difficulties

Idiosyncratic behaviour of getting that toolbox to work, a clear head etc. You only use it once and forget about it.

Suspect you have to learn Russian for that. May be they have broken the encryption on the signature to re manufacture the signature after they have changed the files or they are using the AIO approach of that backdoor of bypassing the signature by re manufacturing the file, with the checksums changed without the signature. Probably the latter.

Well ofcourse with 470, whenever that is to be released, you would be waiting for our Russian friends or whoever to re manufacture it or just use the toolkit for onward compatibility. Not sure how long map updates will be released thou. Although never say never.

I was told by the person who helped me with the mib2 high toolkit 5 years ago, you can delete it now and those Skoda FeCs once it became compatible again, decided not too and it proved useful not too.
