UPDATE:If they had sent the unit to us we could’ve sorted it with 0 hassle
The saga continues, now on my third (or fourth, I’ve lost count), replacement CD player, which is again, the wrong one.
I told the garage it has to be from a Cupra with a Cupra logo on start up, otherwise it won’t be the right one.
This latest one is from an Ibiza FR, not even close!
Garage has now sent my original off to a repair centre to hopefully get the CD part sorted. If they can’t repair it, dealer has agreed to purchase a new one from Seat for just £1000…!
Dealer has also had to replace passenger door mirror as it was broken in their car park. someone pushed it in/out manually and broke the ‘stopper’.
A/C has also been fixed, thankfully
I’m still really pleased with the car, thinking of a res-delete (think that is what it’s called these days), any recommendations for a reputable dealer round Southampton way?

It doesn't have to be from a Cupra.. As long as it's the correct part number it can be reconfigured to suit.UPDATE:

Purchasing a new one will be pointless as they're clearly incapable of configuring the unit
They are never going to be able to fix it 5f0035874a if you have virtual cockpit and then they just hook it up to odis and code what you had to start with. Your dealer is a plum.UPDATE:

Surely if they give the reg/chassis number and part number to a Seat dealer it will be the right part and configuration for my car?
If not the Seat dealer would then be responsible for reconfiguring it for my vehicle…?

. Changing what the car is matched to it is bread and butter stuff covered here on the board for anyone with VCDS or Obdeleven Pro. Plenty of "enthusiasts" have changed those here. That is a reason why you roll up your sleeves and do things yourself although dealers don't want you to, but let's face it some owners know more about computers and IT than dealers do.Ah it's your "master tech" in that dealership that needs retraining. I first became aware of dealership issues on infotainment units when the guy was soaking a part in petrol / parrafin and he said he'd done all the ODIS scripts on it. They trundle down routes but don't problem solve, not that I had messed it up myself so sorted it out myself.

The units don’t come configured. They come with the basic software, no datasets. No coding. It’s then configured using VWAGs diagnostic system once it’s fitted to the car
well 5qa035858b is what they should have installed then just coded it to car no big deal. as i said your dealer is worse than useless if they can`t even order the right part to begin with. go to another one.
I bought the car from this dealer and this is all being done under warranty.
I have suggested East Yorkshire Retrofits to them but they seem to want to resolve it themselves, trouble is they obviously don’t have the knowledge.
but its not knowledge it`s basics, are they even a cupra seat dealer ?
No, they are a large(ish) used car dealership, they have their own service centre and to keep costs down, they would like to repair it in-house.
they are never going to fix it. i would aim for getting the right part and doing it yourself.

You’ve given them chance to fix it, legally there’s no obligation to let them try again. Save yourself the time and hassle, ask them to cover the cost (and save themselves a fortune)

when one person was looking for the Cupra Ateca on a mib2 standard (its what was put on Cupra Atecas exported outside Europe) you see the image library. Well how I remember it. I doodled with my mib2 high standard Seat Ateca to make it a Cupra Ateca on that thread just to try it out. So as to save my dealer having kittens set it back again.
Unless you are good at passing strings into Hex etc I'd get someone to do it for you. You see other examples on the board. The unit's are preloaded with a range of car images, your dealer hasn't configured the correct image.

I don’t think the dealer has configured anything, i think they have bought second hand units and just installed them in the car hoping it would be the right one.
They are certainly confused as the current unit (from an Ibiza FR) has the correct part number, software etc…
But obviously it doesn’t work properly, parking pilot doesn’t work, Cupra button doesn’t seem to do anything now (driving modes), driver assistance is now unavailable etc…
Hopefully my original unit can be repaired and reinstalled and all should be ok.
Otherwise………..?
