Physical buttons are already on the way back and the over sensitive ADAS systems are slowly but surely being toned down via software updates.

I get it, people don't want or need too much intervention. We've been driving for decades without unnecessary technology ruining the experience.

personally, my least favourite system is the autonomous reverse braking feature. It's that sensitive and violent that you might as well have hit whatever you were nowhere near.

I've not had an issue in my Born with that (yet), but in my Leon I've been sure I've slammed into a post or something with how fierce it braked for me, only to find out there was a friggin plant in the driveway I was using that the sensors picked up on.

When I first got my car, I came home, parked, and... boom. My fillings almost fell out.
I thought: "****!!!"
When I realized it, I turned it off. It became scary to drive in reverse with such an assistant.

Totally agree. The first time I experienced this, on a Golf, I had to get out and check that I hadn't in fact hit anything (I hadn't) It also happens going forward in a Born when I got too close to a bunch of weeds growing in front of a fence. I've now got used to it since my garage has a slight lip between the drive and the garage floor so it slams on the brake if I approach the garage too quickly.
The one that gets me now is the collision sensor that screams at me when I take a long left-hand bend near my house and someone has parked a car on the opposite side of the road!
I don't necessarily want them switched off, but it'll be great if they're made less sensitive.

On 2025+ vehicles with SFD1/2?
Yep. Mines a November 24 vz3 333 2025 MY which annoyingly can’t be mapped yet lol.
I have the full OBDeleven package and it let me in to do certain things. Including turning off lane assist and speed warning. It locks you out when you go in but then once you have registered you get an email with a code on and it lets you in

I see. Obdeleven is unlocking the SFD security for you with the code.

Yep seems so but you are still limited to what you can change. Some modules full access some modules none. Also think there is a time limit too. Only been in a couple times just for the items listed above. It does say that it hasn’t completed or it hasn’t done it but it deffo has. There is a procedure too. If I remember right bonnet has to be open and ignition on BUT CAR NOT RUNNING
