Ah so they still don't have that VW tracker then.

VW took the tracker down some years ago. I seem to remember the main reasons (in no particular order) for doing so were;
  • it wasn’t particularly accurate.
  • it was slow to update (there were instances discussed on forums when the tracker was at the build stage but the customer had actually taken delivery of their car!
  • customers got frustrated with the lack of tracker updates and took their frustration out on VW Customer Services.
I doubt the tracker will ever be resurrected.

I ordered my Raval VZ Extreme plasma and sunroof in May. I got this 9 days ago on my email.

Presume this means the computer generated emails could also be problematic if from the same source ?, the source being the factory system. James is keeping quite.
Issues with build times or factory delays are a sales department concern. I have no access to that kind of information.

Ah well they can't all be delayed unless the system is producing rubbish. The fall back is to get the order number from the dealer when feeling stressed and phone up customer services at Cupra if it like Seat, then they might go through some security questions and then get the guy to look it up on their system.

10 years ago not all dealers knew how to use the system or just one guy in the dealership knew. If you get fobbed off you ask for the official customer code, not the dealer one and bobs your uncle. Think its like or was like, one of those airline systems hitting codes. They get a status code back which then maps to the position.

You arent going to make it any faster by phoning up but it puts your mind to rest.

Aunty Google AI says after scraping the net and putting words to it which might be rubbish:

Cupra vehicle factory order and production status codes follow the Volkswagen Group (VAG) tracking system.

Order & Factory Status Codes

00 / 03 / 05: Factory order created or locked, but no build week has been scheduled yet.

10: Factory order acknowledged with a provisional or confirmed production week.

20: Production week confirmed; the vehicle is locked in the system and scheduled for assembly (VIN is typically assigned around this stage).

30: Vehicle has finished production and is built, or is currently in transit from the factory.

36: Vehicle has arrived at the port of exit, awaiting export release.

38: Vehicle is released and loaded onto a ship or transport.

40: Vehicle has left the factory/port area and is in transit or arriving at the destination country port (such as the UK).

50 and higher: Vehicle has cleared customs, is dispatched, and is arriving at or has arrived at the local dealership.

So theoretically it shouldn't be as hard as it is to get that information!

What we actually have atm is "Order placed"......lots of tumbleweed.....and then a flurry of production/delivery updates

I think the vast majority of the early orders will now be "in transit" and probably sat at Barcelona docks waiting on a RO-RO

Where the marine enthusiasts come in with Vessel Finder knowing the RO-RO boat codes heading to the UK. ;)
I've had a look there aren't any RO-ROs at Barcelona docks or close by at the minute😁

Certainly any that Gemini thinks VAG use and do the Barcelona to UK route

Oooo

They were not playing ball then. I use to speak to the head of customer services 10 years ago. She was good. Still it may have changed now.

So got the email from Cupra today vehicle now in transit, this is 4 days after dealer told me the same thing, at least they are updating.

Soooo.... I've returned to a Cupra after 5 years away due to my Leon's computer failing so many times I rejected the car.
Raval v1 52kwh, Fjord Blue + Black Roof selected and is on the dealer premises - I have sat in it - was due to pick it up yesterday and now told due to requiring a software update it could be another 21 days wait.
Oh dear.
And I don't even have the car yet.

Lets hope this all works!
Key Features of Software 6.1
Compared to the launch version (Software 6.0), version 6.1 introduces highly anticipated connectivity and ecosystem improvements: [1]
    • Mobile Digital Key Activation: While version 6.0 restricted smartphone locking functions for some early builds, Software 6.1 fully enables the Mobile Digital Key via the MyCUPRA App. This allows drivers to approach and unlock the car, start the electric motor, and share secure digital keys directly from a phone wallet without needing a physical key fob. [1, 2]
    • Enhanced Native App Store Integrations: Taking full advantage of the Raval's native Android operating system, this version offers smoother backend performance for over 130 in-car third-party applications (such as YouTube and streaming services) running directly on the central touchscreen. [1, 2]
    • Optimized e-Route Planner: Refines the integrated navigation algorithm to more accurately project real-time traffic, target battery charge states at destinations, and adaptively map out DC fast-charging stops along the route. [1, 2]
    • Stability Fixes: Includes bug resolutions for driver display rendering glitches and optimized thermal management protocols during rapid charging. [1, 2]
