If I am not wrong it's an MIB 2, right?

And if 5NN919605B is compatible with our ATECA?
Or
this: 5FJ919606

I have to change the MIB unit? In wich case of screen ?

Can I upgrade my MIB 2 to MIB3?

Thanks for help
BR

You could try the Leon 3 thread. I don't think you can swap mib2 for mib3. You can upgrade mib2 standard to mib2 high. Plenty did that on the Leon 3 thread way back when. That a mib2 standard that you have.

Ateca Cupra to 2020, not mib3 that was 2020 on, may have had more fancy infotainment front panel displays like what you have shown. There you go most people have moved on from changing their heads I reckon. That was ten years when they went from mib1 to 2 and mib2 standard to mib2 high.

You can update the maps BTW on that unit if you strictly follow the instructions about the overall.nds file:

This years maps. 514 software you are on can be changed to 516 but I can't give you information on that one here. Board rules.

The Arona here is on 514. The maps are up to date. People changed the units software if they were having issues with Android Auto. 516 was the final release of that.

Thanks for you reply will have a look to it
The most important for me now is changing the lcd touch screen because at this Time the actual lcd screen give it a 2010 golf look….

It might be worth checking what they final put on the Cupra Atecas to 2020 since they were the close out years of mib2. Whether they got more modern screens. The Arona 2019 certain got a TFT type of screen. 2016 Atecas got the Tiguan screen.

Somebody did change there front panel which must have come with the buttons as well. They bought the wrong screen with the navigation button for the unit that was sold without navigation. They had to go into the infotainment menu to selection navigation. The screen socket was interchangeable but just didnt have the button.

You could investigate whether they fitted a more luxury screen to the Ateca over the years and it would probably be interchangeable if they didnt change the fitting.

Yes I have found some vag coder video changing LCD touchscreen but no one with my years model
And for model, i have search and the reference posted on my first post are all screen of ateca model from 2016 to 2024

As I mentioned in my previous message, I contacted him on Facebook, but he never deigned to reply.
He even blocked me on Facebook, so I no longer have access to his page.
I had hoped for a reply on the forum since he is a sponsor, but days have gone by.
If he doesn't want to help, that's fine—and I understand if he doesn't want to share information with forum members, as it's his livelihood...
The thing is, I'm in France and he's in England, and he only performs his services at his own premises.
I'm just going to buy the screens and test them myself.
It's a shame he won't help, because from what I've seen, he's the expert on Seat vehicles.
I contacted him on Facebook and ended up blocked.
No reply on the forum.
I'm not going to send an email if it means never getting a reply or ending up in his trash folder.
Unfortunately, the VAG experts I've contacted don't really know Seat vehicles.
The only one who does wants to sell me the full package for €1,200.

Guten Morgen

Good morning.

The 9.2" display is not compatible with any genuine Seat MIB2 STD or High unit.

In this case, the 9.2" display works only with MIB3. An OCU GEN3 High unit is required for the factory navigation system.

However, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay do support wireless connectivity.

Component Protection (CP) can be officially paired, but the unit still needs to be patched to unlock the functions. Online services and personalization features will not work.

If you have a Virtual Cockpit (VC), you lose the connection because MIB3 connects via Automotive Ethernet rather than MOST. The only issue arises if a sound system with an internal control unit is present.

I drove our family's Octavia 3 to Croatia on vacation using the Seat MIB3 and an OCU for navigation. I was pleasantly surprised.

Hello
Thanks for the help.
As luck would have it, I’d found a great deal on the 9.2-inch screen for €50 and bought it.
Oh well, I guess I just have to return it since it’s not compatible.
I’ll try to find the one with the buttons which seem compatible with MIB 2

Yes the question is whether there is an interchangeable screen that went in Cupra Ateca prior to the 2020 mib3 switch. Whether they had anything more modern on the screen than the old Tuguan mk2 style. That's what on mine. It does but isn't so bright as what they were fitting on the Aronas in 2019.

Needs an expert or you find a Cupra Ateca < 2020 revamped model and eye ball it. May be those Cupra Ateca mib2s just got tge older style of screen.

In my first post, based on my research and findings, I listed the screens in chronological order—from oldest to newest.
I therefore assume that the 5FJ919605B is the facelift version (2018–2020), as I found many listings for Seat/Cupra Ateca vehicles from those years featuring this specific screen.
From 2021 onwards, I presume the screen used is the 5FJ919606, paired with the MIB3 system.

That would be it. So its a question of whether 5FJ919605B that's compatible and what it is. If its a complete redesign then no.

Unfortunately, I only have the 9.2-inch display here.
