Hey, I bought a 2013 Leon FR 1.4 TSI over a year ago and been absolutely in love with it. I have put over 20k kms on it since.

There's just one thing, the ground clearance is abysmal, 11cm to the lowest metal part, plastic parts sit way lower. Dirt roads cause anxiety with rocks and high center sections of the road. Is it possible to change the springs to ones from a X-Perience? Are the shocks different? I have searched and there are lots of shocks that fit both FR and X-Perience.

Your Leon 1.4 will have a torsion beam rear axle.
Most Leon X-Perience are independent rear axle with AWD, so you'd need to try and find spring and dampers from a FWD X-Perience and 1.4tsi.
Also, there are difference diameter front dampers - 49.6mm, 54.6mm & 55mm - which need to match your knuckle - so you might also need to fit the knuckle from an X-Perience.
Easier to just fit some taller tyres.

Yeahhh, been searching and came to the same conclusion. I think I will change the springs to normal Leon springs and keep the original shocks until they need changing. Taller tyres when the current ones run out of tread.
