Oh great - that stupid bug (that causes the tutorial to pop up randomly) STILL exists, even after updating to 1988. Sigh ... whatever bug fixes were in that 9 GB update, they clearly missed this one. I needn't have bothered updating ...

Sadly, I suspect that 1988 will be the last update for us "pre-facelift" people, so I guess I'm stuck with it. I give up!

I have the exact same problem; once in a while the infotainment system completely resets. All my favorite radio stations are gone etc. I'm still on software 1969 and would like to update to 1988. Which file did you use to update to 1988?

Someone kindly provided a link to the firmware on this forum. Could be earlier in this thread. It was hosted on a Russian (!) server which was a little concerning at first, but it updated my Leon OK.

It did take a while (many hours) to download from the server, I think due to it being on “free” hosting. But after that, it was quite straightforward.

The YT video linked above was very helpful too, as it can be a bit unnerving watching the update go slowly.

As ever, proceed at you own risk. But good luck.

I also have this excite same issue, given that it looks like 1988 doesn't fix it, I won't be in a hurry to update myself.
