Wondering best way of hard wiring a dashcam, understand OBD II not suitable, is the fuse box the only safe way? It will be a Garmin X310.

There are a few solutions for Vag cars that plug into the cable harness of the mirror.. might be something to look into
I have looked at them but Cupra do not recommend taking power from the rain sensor as this may cause canbus issues and as the car is new, didn't want to take the risk however small. So, I've bought a Garmin with hard wire kit and booked a specialist company to come to my home to do the installation, it will be wired to the fuse box. My previous car had a Garmin dashcam for 9 years and it always worked so have every confidence in this brand.

Had the dashcam installed yesterday by a specialist who connected to the fuse box for ignition switched and constant live feeds. It's a very neat installation, very happy. Any members on Costa Blanca, can recommend this company: https://callecams.com/
