Hi everybody

I never had a SEAT/CUPRA before and I bought a brand new Cupra Formentor 1.5 E-Hybrid 204cv Special Edition DSG 2026, and the first 2 weeks with the car were amazing but now I feel that I'm already starting to have some problems (I think) or might be any configuration I disabled by mistake.

The first one is the ACC or Front assist (im not sure which one) was working since the first time i drove the car, if the car in front of me breaks or start doing a curve my car would slow down and keep the distance (set by the button on the steering wheel) however after some days this icon in big appeared on the digital cockpit (for like 1 second and nothing more)

And this feature started to not work as before, now i only have the car slowing down etc when i set cruise control (in highways) or if i click the "SET" button on the steering wheel but this set like the car to stay at 80km/h (or the current speed limit) but before I didnt need to click on anything and the car would do this by default at any speed never allowing me to "crash" on the car in front of me.

Another problem is with the key, suddently if i leave the car it doesnt lock unless i click the lock button on the key, but sometimes it locks by himself, i reset the setting on the dash and it started working as expected again but im afraid this will happen again and the car is open (any setting i'm missing)

I mean before taking the car to the dealership I wanted just to double check with other owners if this is just settings i might messup or errors with the car.

Thanks in advance!

What do you mean by "This icon IN BIG appeared"???
If you mean that this symbol was large as the entire virtual cockpit and it went away after one second - that was the car detecting a potential crash with the car in front of you. If that was the case, you also heard a loud Beep when the symbol was flashed on the dashboard. This is not a car problem, sometimes that the car is warning you that you are about to crash if the car in front of you slows down and you have no reaction behind the wheel. If the potential risk will persist, and if you still have no reaction, the car will probably slam on the brakes by itself - it is a feature, not a problem.

There are two different functions on the car that seem to do the same thing, but in fact work in very different ways:
- one is the Travel Assist or the Adaptive Cruise Control - that you can activate with the button on your steering wheel. It will keep a certain preset speed, or reduce the speed keeping a certain distance to the car in front of you. Also this function has the option to use or to ignore the local speed limits - this can be set in Vehicle Assist settings on the infotainment. This function will use any means possible to slow the car down when necessary: either by energy Recuperation via the electric motor, or using the car brakes when needed.
- the second one is the Energy Recuperation Mode that you can set in the Battery Manager menu on the infotainment; it has 3 modes: OFF - will never regenerate energy when you lift your foot of the accelerator pedal, AUTO - the car will decide when energy recuperation is necessary once you release the accelerator, ON - the car will always recuperate energy when you release the accelerator. However, there's a trick: in some cases the car cannot recuperate energy - for example if the battery is above a certain charge level, or if the temperature is very low (the recuperation will be highly reduced). Unlike the TA or ACC, this function will never use the car brakes if it cannot recuperate energy into the battery.

Another problem is with the key,
The auto lock/unlock function when you leave/return to the car is known to work quite random. This is why I have this function disabled - you can find the option in the infotainment in Vehicle settings. I prefer using the touch-lock on the front door handles.
