Cupra TDI lack of power

Sometimes when i give my car a little wely, i get a hesitation and then the car goes into (get me home).
If i turn off the engine and restart it is ok then.
Happend a few times now. Dont know what to do about it. Time to get shut for a petrol? Hmmmm
Had a volvo S40 T4 befor this, i miss the power but not the fuel bills.... :cartman:

Any help would be great.

try resetting the car's ecu

Sounds like the same problem I had.

When accelerating the car would go into limp mode and restarting engine would bring the car back to life!

I purchased a new Mass Air filter and it was good as new.

P.s mines a tdi also.

parts about £30 I think, ask seat if they do a discount for seatcupra users and they'll problem knock a bit off. Easy to fit at home, 10min job.

woudl be interesting to see what the ECU is logging as the problem as to why its going into limp. Could be maf like mentioned above but at the same time it could be boost related, so sticking vanes meaning overboost or boost leak leading to negative deviation.
