Pete's Copper Cupra Build/Rebuild Thread! RIP, now in the scrappy in the sky :(

after umming and aaring i bought it payed a tidy sum for it.

BUT it has Full SEAT Service history the pedal box has been changed By SEAT,

it has 130k on the clock but it feels tight and solid,

it needs some work here and there (new wing because of a football)
and a bit of rust on the rear off side arch.

but all in all pleased with it!

ok gonna start a little build thread and update it any time anything happenes





thats how it looked standard

so far ive had it for 3 days and the mods ive done so far are

DEWIPER THE REAR!!

new gear knob, new aerial, new petrol(seems to like V power)

so for the next few mods theres gonna be a sony CD player (nothing fancy but better then a casset)
i might even smooth off the aerial off the roof.

performance air filter
lowering it
front upper strut brace
front lower strut brace
rear upper strut brace
sticky rubber on refurbed wheels
then some tiger stripe front seats(already have door cards)
possibbly a roll cage
tint the rear windows
polish it as i haven't had a chance to because of the weather and get some good pics of it!

if its a mare im not gonna bother gonna get me a passat stubby one or summit! it has a gash silver richbrook on there atm!

OK WHEEL CHANGEE!!! had some gash pony tyres on before! luckily a friend of mine is breaking his 2l 16v cupra sport GTI (COINCIDENCE!!! LOVE IT) so yeah only problem is wellthe colour of the wheels!

close personal friend of mine he bought another mates kiwi and broke it for parts after the chassis snapped in 2! and yeah payed the grand sum of 0 notes for em


he has most body panels left actually so any kiwi owners let me know!

hate the colour but there's nothing a rattle can cant fix!

ok so been raiding my mates parts bin and he happens to have a set of GTI lights(H1bulbs) whereas mine are H4s :S strange me thinks but meh a quick steal later and 20 minutes with a cross head screwdriver and there in! piece of cake to fit and the lights so much brighter!!!


can i ask some of you GTI owners how big should the front brakes be? as i feel mine are to small! will take some pics 2morow (weather permitting ) of the brakes in question!
