Just a quick one, next time you get the chance - check your lower radiator hose (where it runs along the bottom of the radiator).
Reason im mentioning this is because I have just replaced mine for the second time after the radiator fan cowling rubbed its way through the pipe.
Im pretty sure this is down to the fact that the radiator bushings have perished & worn away over time - therefore there is slight movement towards the bottom of the radiator. (about 0.5cm play either way)
Until I get round to replacing the radiator bushings I have unclipped the rad hose from the oil cooler line & basically pulled it back a little and secured it down to the subframe using cable ties.
