So after selling the Leon as I was sick of having repayments and no money every month I decided to get something cash. Still wanted something pedigree and decided to go a little retro. Well I was after a G60 but finances and time constraints made me rush out and grab the first corrado I found. It was in reletively decent condition upon first inspection. After all the issues that needed fixing began to show through. So basically spent a grand on bits and bobs to get the car up to my standard sort of. There was also a crappy aftermarket steering wheel and momo gear knob which went today at last. The hooter didn't even work as there were no wires for it! If I had more money......... Any how here are a few pics I quickly took today whilest busy on the car. Scuse the crappy phone pics.

The cig lighter was loose in the centre console along with the two air vents. I therefore bought another dash that had all of these in it. So today I proceeded with removing the centre console.

Here is the offending centre console which was cracked.

Although you can't see it the bit for the cig lighter is also cracked.

Thanks for watching and I will update as more works get done.

Yeah I am already registered there mate. They have been amazing with helping me with any questions I had. Still a fair bit to do to the car. Need to replace the sunroof seal, roof liner. there is a leak somewhere as the headliner was wet when I got it. Already sourced new headliner so first need to locate the source of the leak. Once sorted I will replace headliner and seal. Refit windscreen as whoever did it last did a piss poor job and there is sealand coming out all over the a pillars and top of the screen and the rubber seal outside can't seat correctly. thank goodness I have a window fitter at work who has agreed to refit for free ;)

Sounds like your leak might be from the top of the windscreen if its poorly fitted, if not check the sunroof drains to make sure they're not blocked.
They're great cars, and a lot of fun to drive, mine never failed to put a smile on my face, except when it broke down.... ;)

The G60 supercharger, Germans greatest time bomb :D
Why get a vr6, everyone knows that a stage 4 g60 is quicker.....

I was after a G60 eck but the ones for sale when I was hunting were either too expensive or in apoor state of repair. I may still end up with one and if you look after the charger correctly it will serve you well. VR6 was an option but running costs.........................

Problem is unfortunately g60 seem to be worth more in parts, so decent example too good to break push a higher premium.
Best thing to do if you are going to buy a g60 is budget for a charger rebuild straight away. Even if the previous owner has had it done, if its not been run in correctly then it'll still go bang!
Is yours aqua blue, paint code lc5u?

Not sure on paint code, need to check actually lol. Seller said midnight blue but that was not an official colour? Where would I see the paint code?

I had a few of these in the past, had an Aqua Blue VR6 which was nice! Also had a white 9A 16v which was a waste of time after driving the VR6 - Either way each to their own and all that... Nice looking Rado you have there and im guessing its an Aqua Blue, not purple enough to be Mystic Blue i think, it maybe a Midnight Blue but cant tell from pics.

I am led to believe that ONLY the STORM came out in Mystic Blue iirc. I will get a G60 eventually I think as there is something about the G-Ladder that just does it for me lol.

Slowly but surely mate. The exhaust HAD to be done lol. Hopefully next week Tuesday the windscreen gets refitted too and I can finally replace the headlining and sunroof seal.
