I'd like to get myself a diagnostic tool but don't really want to pay out of the a**e getting myslf a full on VAG jobby. Is something like this any good? Will it do everything the proper ones do...

Hi ive bought the U281 Fault Reader off ebay as recommended from someone off here and it arrived the other day. I cant locate where you plug it into in the car! Can anyone advise? Ive got a lcr mk1. Thanks
