saver

I'm trying to get hold of a space saver for my 56 Toledo, running standard 205/55VR16s. I believe it's an 18 inch wheel. Does anyone know if a space saver for a Mk 5 Golf GTI (18 inch) would fit?

Ran over something this morning which has burst one of my tyres so I'm driving on a space saver at the moment. New tyre is on order for tomorrow. I've left the manual at home so I'm not sure what allowances I should make. A colleague has said I shouldn't go above 50mph. Is that correct? Thanks

Just a bit confused as i'm sure with the 18" options, you only get a foam kit! But when i looked under the cover in my boot today i realised i have an 18" space saver!! Just wondering if anyone else has this?

righty.... was royally pissed off when i got a puncture not long ago... does anyone know if its possible to swap the space saver tyre with a full size? does the cavity fit one? if so.. ideas where i can acquire one? (apart from the mk2 thats next to mine in the carpark :P ) cheers :)

I checked my boot this afternoon and was greeted by a brand new LCR alloy wheel wearing a brand new tyre which was a pleasant surprise :) In the past with previous cars I've been greeted by a can of pump and go or an embarrasing orange pram wheel.

Got a flat tonight and put the space saver on. The TCS has been going a bit spastic, pretty much flashes constantly no matter how slow I accelerate and even at a constant speed of 40mph its flashing constantly, won't really let me go above it. Got so annoyed I just have to keep TCS off...
