got a 2003 leon cupra tdi 150,original starter has 11 teeth but garage have give me a 10 tooth version and say it will fit.anyone know if its ok to use ?

I'm having a bitch of a time at the moment with my cordy i was having starting issues a few months back, i changed the plugs and it was ok. it was then left for a while and started having more issues, not starting for a while but eventually after lots of cranking it would fire and run fine...

Recently doing a bit of work on my engine I had to take out the starter motor on my Mk3 IBIZA and whilst it was out I was surprised how 'dry' and rusty the shaft and cog looked inside (where it makes contact with the crankshaft ring) so i though I know I will give it a nice coating with spray on...
