Starter motor noise

Hello every1
When i start the car, immediately after i have turned the key and as the engine is starting...there is a noise, quite high pitch kind of screech. Sorry if its a rubbish explanation of the noise. Its not really loud but just loud enough to be noticed.
Could it be the solenoid on the starter motor?

Also - the car is still under warranty - if anyone does know what this fault is, would you know if it should be fixed by the garage??

BTW - its definately not the sound of the air con coming on...

What age is your car?
its sounds like the starter motor to me...
when i had my clutch done the garage did something to mine, it no longer makes that noise ...... it was rather embarressing.
