exactly!
its not that i dont have any intentiion, i just know (from costly experiance) that its better to do EVERYTHING you want, and have it mapped very last thing. if i try it, i will want it and ill have to try and hold back! lol

Just spotted this. Well i used E-Maps and can't recommend them enough. Aftercare is good too as I had a second visit by the MD as I had an issue with Limp mode in cold weather which was sorted within 3 days!

E-Map can Tailor to an extent like REVO with there SPS etc. However I feel that they are far to expensive for the map and then the SPS when you have as good if not better product/service from other companies.

Yes E-Maps are not really know in the VAG circle but they are huge for BMW Merc and Porkas!

Really it is upto yourself and how you drive your car, Revo seem to be really aggressive at 3000rpm and have nothing left come redline where as I still maintain over 1.2 bar at 6000rpm and the power is as liner/smooth as your going to get from the KO4 turbo.

when i had my ibiza, i had revo (for my sins) to start with and it had a PEAK power or 204bhp (rr'd) yet a cupra with an amd chip and a mild 189bhp was just as fast, if not faster than mine.....
Peak power / torque is one thing, maintained power/torque is where you get the speed from.

This may not just be down to the map though. I'll post up my graph when I RR again in a couple of weeks, I'm sure that my change of N75 has meant less peak but MUCH more sustained boost through the range.

I must say that after a couple of days, one thing that is noticeable is how much more fuel I am using. And no, this isn't due to toeing it all the time, far from it. I need to literally feather the throttle to get similar consumption to pre-chip with more throttle, when I toe it the consumption drops dramatically - 8mpg! It seems that the map increases the amount of fuel at any thottle level, which is a shame, and maybe something to be expected - I don't know.
Where I used to get an average of 26mpg on the journey to work, now, driving like a granny I get 23!
Am I expecting too much - can I get a remap to only give more power/use more fuel on heavy throttle, but be more economical when not???

With Revo on a 13mile journey to work from cold start, if I try to conserve fuel I "could" get 32MPG. Rush it a bit and your looking at 22-26MPG. That's mainly A road driving/town.

The torque figures are estimates and they are in NM not lb/ft.

Sulli, if economy is your thing. I went from average 28mpg to 30mpg doing my same drive to work every day. On a run from Bournemouth to London I have seen 35mpg :D

I never believed it when people use to say that mpg gets better with a re-map but mine has.

Just got back from ADS after getting the REVO trial..... all I can say is WOW !!!

It pulls so much harder, it does die off after 5.5K but for my journeys and driving style, that suits me spot on.....

i will second this, ive been in many "races" with revo and a 1bar jabba ecu, funnily enough revo backs off early, jabba kept going!

Funny cos I have had a 'tussle' with APr and Jabba cars in my old Revo LCr and there was bu99er all in it......this was over 30+ miles of A-roads.

Are you talking about different cars though? Is flash talking about a K03 car and Steve/this thread talking about K04'd car...

I think I am going thru emap.
Seem like a good bunch
Local to me, have said any problems just let them know.
No R/R to show figs tho but have sed they will show me on VAG COM.
Identical power gains in both bhp and torque
Not sure about when in rev range it dies or even at all but I will look into this shortly

Quite impressed

Let us know how you get on... I'm in the Brum area also and have been thinking about going down the Revo route but if e-maps are as good and cheaper I'll go for that especially if the map can be altered slightly for better economy at lower rpm.

The think I liked about the Revo was the turn on / off abililty.
