Who are you getting to do your cage?

Had any quotes on price? PM me if you dont want the whole world knowing lol, im looking to cage mine soon too

I haven't decided yet. Had a few quotes from a few places. SOS Motorsport (probably the nearest to you) wanted 1000-1800 depending how much I want done. I'm looking for a fairly complex 8 point cage though. You can obv save a lot by going 4 or 6 point

Could u not get a custom cage built for less Becasue 1800 is I hell of a lot of money.

Me and an old work Mate made a 6 point cage for his old ford ka after Bering striped like urs is and we used titanium tubes and only cost him about 350 for the tubed we had to cut and shape bend an weld but surely an alloy or steel cage custom carnt cost more than 1000

That is a custom cage

Yeh I could get one built for less. But cages aren;t cheap. I could buy the material myself for peanuts. CDS or T45 isn;t particularly expensive to buy lengths of. But I know what sort of work is involved in fabrication, and I know you get what you pay for.

I'm a lot less worried about the cost, and more concerned about timescales and quality of the work

Our gage was very well built an high quilty but I will say it took a lot of hours pron about 30 hours but there was two of us doing the Job and it
Has been a tested gage due to the ka we made the cage for is used as a hill climb car and been rolled once and had a fair few knocks and it's still holding up fine

The reason I have said all this is because when we looked it soon his cage it worked out better to do it our slefs due to the fact we where perfectly capable of doing it plus built cages did not offer the best strength without waight factors or a hell of a price tag

So custom is the best way from what I have experienced.

Just throught I'd ask if u had considered custom due to a lot of people don't think of that idea.
Am loving ur Cupra and one day my car might become something Simalur but that's along way away lol
Am looking forward to seeing ur car full finished I still can not belive ur doing all this to a 2005 reg Cupra tdi give u credit and guts loving ur work
