Thanks alot for that link mate, very helpful.

So, I need braided hoses, a 22mm bore master cylinder off a gti and dot 5.1 brake fluid.

My list just keeps growing!

Braided hoses are debatable in my opinion. You can't see whether they're wearing, as it's covered in metal. They're not cheap either. Yes, a lot of people claim a big improvement, but they're not comparing new-for-new. They're comparing old, possibly perishing/bulging to new. And they're not cheap.

iv got a mk2 ibiza with a vr6 in it and havnt even got discs at the back! i will be needing to upgrade these, what would you recomend? taking into account the labor to do the job etc. cheers.

Hello all, right Ive got my rear axle and front disk set up ready to fit but i read on this forum-

http://www.seatcupra.net/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=57&Itemid=6

that i need a 22mm bore master cylinder.

Ive just been to euro car parts to buy one off a 8v gti as that what my brakes are from and im not sure if its right.

ive compared with mine and it looks like it has too many out puts on it (as you look at it from the front of the engine bay mine has two brake lines on the left and this one seams to take four, as there is two on the left and two on the right.)

Have i bought the wrong one? any help would be good as i know nothing!

kyle

how would I go about doing that? What parts would I need?

As far as the car goes I'm keeping it for a while yet so if it's worth doing I'll do it.

Sorry to keep bringing this thread up!

Getting fed up now! ordered Powerflex bushes and turns out the rear ones are wrong size and was meant to be getting them fitted on tuesday! annoying!

AND the company im getting the braided hoses from are saying that they dont do them direct for GTI 8v disks? would need to get goodridge to make them specially?! that sound right?

Its stressing me out now!

sure they make ones to fit if not get one for a golf mk2 gti 16v 256 brakes or a cordoba 1.6 sx coupe all have same breaks bud

Yeah the front lower arm bushes are the same as golf mk2 but the rear there are two sizes - 72.5mm which are mk3 bushes and 57.75mm which are mk2, turns out they ordered me the wrong ones so gonna have to re order!
