1.8t Stage 2 Boost

Right for you stage two folk (even stage one). My peak boost seems to be about 16psi? I have seen it go up to 20 in 4th from lowesh revs. Most of the time it hits 16 and holds there all the way to 5500rpm. I have done some logs and requested vs actual seems ok.

What does your boost do?

My Stage 1 is more like a peak of about 18psi and then dips to about 15psi further up the rev range as the K03s runs out of puff at about 6k.

Mine holds steady on 16psi, pulls all the way at that...have a look in the APR section, I queried this recently with AwesomeAl and he was very helpful in his response. It isn't all about boost, it's about the timing as well. If you can achieve the power without hammering the turbo I guess that's gonna keep your turbo healthier longer?

Cheers mate just had a wee read. Mines zooms right up to 16psi and holds forever until 6000rpm when it slowly drops to 14psi. I think i will change the way i have the gauge plumbed in and attach it they way he says in that thread.

Gives me an excuse to change the hoses to red

I would guess (some logic comes in also) that the less boost the turbo is running, the longer it will last compared to running at full wack.

Would love to fit a larger turbo and run less boost to get the same power output. Don't get full boost till about 3k so no different to skylines and the like.

hi there.... mines boost at 1.4 bar and then stay to 1.2 till 5500 rpm and then drops till 1.0 bar till the rev limiter (at 7800 rpm)...

That was my last RR result, done in 4th gear. 2nd, 3rd 4th & 5th are generaly the same (depending on the load though)..

Forget the "little blip" in the middle as I had a leaking gasket at the time..

yeap... with my first map it made 1.6-1.7 peak then stayed at 1.2 until 6k rpm then droped under 1 till rev limiter (to brutal for drag racing, lot of wheel spin trough gears.... ) I`m more happy with this one (almost 2k rpm more with 1 bar is very got )

Woooop

Put DV in reverse and with the n246/... bypass i now hit peak boost in most gears of 20psi.... and drops slowly and holds at 16psi till 6500rpm

I still get that lovely woosh but when giving it some beans i get what one forum member described as " a mouse sneezing"

i think im going to have to invest in a 007p instead of the splitter.

Split R works fine if it's set up right...which admittedly is a pain in the rear to do.
