The lights off will make no difference. They are auto leveling so it will do it on start up regardless of lights being on or off. as the lights obviously may need to come on later in the same trip.

Hello,
From the last post nobody find out the true cause of this noise? I heard this noise at first start at morning, when the engine is cold or after sitting not started for 4-5 hours. A representative mechanic told me that all the 1.4 TSI do so, others say it’s the starter or high pressure fuel pump. I searched on other forums: Skoda , Audi, VW in Germany , Italy and Romania . Nobody posted only opinions, not a real service remedy. So, no one found the solution ?
