I don't think you should be banned from ice, I think you should just be banned from driving with all the windows down, seat tilted back, one hand on the top of the steering wheel with happy hardcore blasting at full volume driving down the main street
i'd go for two if you want alot of bass....But i like stuff symmetrical too

i also still have access to my spare wheel, the subs move back and the amp tray lifts up!

Also been looking to get a sub recently, do worry about the whole 'chavness' around it, so looking for a cheapy on ebay just to improve sound rather than be one of the G's.

Think you'll find an ebay jobbie will sound crap! You'll never beat a good quality with 5-600 watt, with an ebay 1000 watt.

I wouldn't bother, they're crap. As is a lot of the one box stuff. Best bet is to find a decent (Alpine or JBL) and get a seperate amplifier for it. You want to budget ~£35 for a decent wiring kit too. What's you budget and I'll happily have a look! Talkaudio.net is full of good advice.
Also, you can get a lot more for your money second hand.

if im going to bridge the amps off 1 main amp do i simply only bridge the live? and only earth the main amp?
i cant seem to get it working =/
the theory is.
1 amp (1200watt) to run 1 sub (1200watt)
1 amp to run twin 600 subs
1 amp to run the 6x9's
individually this works but when i try and put them together it dosent, anyone suggestions, or how i shud wire it if i want it like this?
(i know running 3 lives is probably the best but in terms of bridging please)

What you're doing isn't bridging. That's to do with using two output channels to run one sub.
The proper way to do it is to get a fused distribution block. Feed the live into that, and run each amp off its own output. Then get an unfused distribution block and do the same with the earths.
Each amps needs a live and an earth.
There are other methods, but that is the only safe and proper way to do it. How big is the power cable, and what are the RMS outputs of each amp? OR just list the actual kit you've got. TBH, it probably wont sound that great as all the kit will be mismatched. And 6x9's aren't the best. Where are you putting them?

Technically yes. Dodgy as hell though and really not a good idea. Any join/split in the cable needs to be fused, and the connections on the amp won't be designed to take 2 cables. Best just to do it properly. Electrical fires aren't fun.
I used to run mine that way and it shorted a few time so I bought 2x 4way distribution blocks and ran a 2awg power cable into the block and then 8awg out of the blocks. Don't the same with earth 2awg in 8awg out. You need to also remember that you need a remote lead to each sub. I'm running two separate remote leads from the headinut as I put a switch in one remote to the sub so I can turn it on/off. The remote to the amp for the 6x9s is constant so it's on whenever the ignition is. If you need any help pm me

Your best bet is to do as I said before. A distribution block is about £3 posted so two of those can save your car from going up in flames! Sounds extreme but it will set your car alite, talking from experience I almost set my first Ibiza on fire!
And on the remote situation; if you want all the subs on at the same time and don't need control over each one then all you have to do is supply one remote from headinut to any amp, then just put a remote lead from amp to amp. So in effect youve got one continuous remote all the way through the circuit. Yes they will receive power with just a earth and live but it won't work as you need a remote to each amp. You also need RCA leads going into each amp do each amp needs a RCA in and RCA out. It's not an easy job mate lol

You need set of RCA from headunit to main amp, then one set to go from main amp to next amp, and then a set from 2nd amp to 3rd and finally 3rd to 4th. So each amp needs a RCA in and RCA out. So in effect you just use one RCA feed but are distributing it to each amp
