Rang up the dealer I got the car from for a 10k quote on my Sport PD.

£175 plus three weeks to wait if I want a courtesy car, I can't wait as they can't guarantee how long it will take.

Rang up the next nearest dealer (about 2 miles further) - £130 and it'll take 90 minutes max. Can wait with the car and can oversee the works if I want.

Random...

You need the full 10k service if your car is a year old or you have covered 10k miles.

The 10k lube service is if you do stupid miles every year 20k+, so you need everything lubed up every 10k miles, then a full one every 12 months......

But, do yourself a favour & give Skoda a ring.....

Burn the Skoda.

Chris, Skoda only have the PD130 & PD170 don't they? IE not the PD150/160.

No - as a PD 150

The whole of the VAG group is basically the same, they did everything on the SEAT checklist using approved parts & the correct oil etc.

It just that they were 10x cheaper, more efficient & twice as nice :)

I got there every year now !!

Why not do independant?
I used to work at a Skoda dealer
I was Service Manager , Parts Manager and Warranty Claims Admin
A service at an independant will NOT invalidate warranty
We charge £100.00 + VAT (£117.50 all in) for that service too

They're the same group?!

I'd prefer to take mine somewhere with the experience of doing a few that's all.

I got my SEAT main dealer down to within £30 of the independent so that will do nicely.

Volskwagen-Audi-Group.

Also - stealers might not carry out the "full service" or what you pay for. My bros car when taken to an independent (whos also a friend of ours) was told it hadnt been serviced properly for the last 3 years even though it had a FSH.

Nope, never heard of them.

I know, my ex took hers to RUSTYS OF SCUNTHORPE for a while. Took it somewhere else another year and the rear brakes fell apart. Never been looked at.

Stamp looks good when selling though.
