12 month service

Hello, my service light has just come on and I think my car is due for it's 12 month service.

I'm thinking about doing it myself as I've always worked on my old cars myself and don't want to pay someone else £100 to something that I could.

Car is a TDI sport at 37k, it had its 40k service last year.

I don't have what needs to be done in any of my SEAT books and cant find it on here anywhere, so can anyone recommend what should be changed. Thanks

I don't have the service book, that's why I'm posting the question.

It's a diesel so...
Oil, oil filter, fuel filter - May aswell change the air filter too, can't be that much? - Could also maybe chnage the cabin pollen filter?
Service kit from a dealer under £50 maybe.
Phone them up with your VIN Plate number, Bottom of windscreen, passenger side - look from the outside.
Diesels are quicker to service as your not having to change spark plugs.

There are a few options/manufacturers to choose from Green Cotton, K&N, and Pipercross.
All are going to give you the same thing, they are all cotton air filters in a wire mesh.
I doubt that any particuler brand gives you better performance over the next, so it's up to availabilty, compatibilty and price as far as I'm concerned.
Performance wise you will notice a bit of a difference as the cotton air filter lets the engine breath more freely, and can give the egnine a "nicer note" in the higher rev ranges.
The other advantage is that they never need to be replaced, the only need to be cleaned and this is only required around ever 50,000 miles or so. Some manfacturers may differ on this figure so don't quote me on that.
Expect to pay from £35 upwards for a cotton filter.

Can't remember the exact proceedure.... something along these lines...

1.turn ignition on
2.hold trip computer button in for 10seconds
3.turn ignition off
4.hold trip computer button down for 10 seconds
5.turn ignition on and light should have been removed!
