Am I right in saying that some Toledo's had a power socket in the boot? If so, where is it located?

If the factory line making the Toledo's in Belgium was anything like the one making the Golfs, they were a bit hit and miss. Some Golfs had them, some didnt. In my Golf, Its to the right on the wall of the boot (I think). Cant miss it.

Surely you could just tap into a live and earth wire from the rear lights? Its not like youd use it when you were driving... Then just cut through the plastic/carpetted board?

Don't even have to do that - there's a distribution block directly behind it, with all the plugs for the lights and towbar wiring

I'll get a picture later cos I just so happen to have a couple of sockets lying around ;)

Ha excellent! Can you tell Im not used to dealing with sophisticated cars?! :D

I've got one but I never use it :p

Seems like a few bits of kit were lost after you guys got sat nav.

Finally (sorry, damn battery ran out last time)

Pics of the electrics to follow ...... next week :p

Cheers, mate! Mine will have to go on the other side as my basslink is on that side. Along with the socket I have been thinking about mounting a fridge on the other side.

Cool eh.

Mines a 2004 and is in the same place as T11EWL's
dont forget to unplug the fridge though as I flattened the fuggin battery the other day cos I left my fridge plugged in
Cans were cold the following day though

Haha! Well my plan is to fit it into the boot and run it off the power distribution point in the boot with a relay and have a switch at the front that only can be turned on when the ignition is turned on.

smart *ss
seriously good idea about the relay except if you go shopping on a warm day and leave stuff in the fridge
surprising how hot a tolly boot get in a short space of time, can defeat the object
learn from a grade "A" pillock and just unplug it when you've finished with it
try getting a jump start at 5:30 am (no making up your own jokes either)
