Just had the Leon remapped by Simon Coe of Upsolute today.
He did 2 other mates cars at work (A3 TDI S Line DSG & Fabia vRS SE).

He downloaded the current map from the ECU & sent it to the head office in Austria to be matched with the correct ECU code.
It came back with a surprising answer......................my car had already been remapped...............badly!!:-o

Only injection & boost had been played around with & the file hadn't been closed off properly.
The Upsolute map was loaded up & we went out for a test drive.

WOW! It pulls a lot more smoothly & instant throttle response. Even when feathering the throttle around the car park I noticed a lot more response.

Didn't get chance to give it full beans due to very wet weather, but no doubt I will later on.

Just wondering if you had given it the beans yet? What power is it putting out now? Fancy getting mine done soon, has anyone come across the clutch slip with the new remap's on 140's?

Yes, me.
Got the boost turned down a bit at lower revs and never had a problem thereafter though. Maybe mine had a duff clutch or the famous dodgy flywheel, but we'll never know now.

Hi Jon, how much did this cost if you dont mind me asking, i wouldnt mind getting mine done :)

Lots of companies sale remaps for the PD140 now as that engine/ECU has been out for some time now. The drive plate is the same size and spin number as the other PD 130/150/160 models and can be inter changed, the pressure plate and flywheel are different though. The DMF on PD140/170 engine as stated are a different design with more springs in it holding it together so should hopefully be stronger and so not break up anymore. My DMF is fine so far running 440lb of torque.
