150pd oil filter

just a quick question about the location of the cars oil filter, is it the cyclinder that sticks up beside the dipstick? with the small heatsink at the bottom. it looks like you screw off the top and remove the old filter and just insert the new one! its just im a ford man and im used to bits hanging off the engine i havent had anything this fancy,, cheers in advance.
