16k for a new Fr Tdi a good price?

As soon as I got into the car I could feel the difference.
- Ride and handling was SOOO much better (maybe cos i had 18" rather than 17")
- less road noise
- no rattling dash
- more refined drive

toNes, does that mean you used to have 18" on your old sport and 17" on the new FR?

no i got 18" on my FR and 17" on my old Sport........

In fact I demanded them from my dealer, they were trying to flog me a FR with 17" and the comfort pack and heated seats....... wtf would i give up 18" for heated seats?!? Madness!!!


BTW, it's always worth checking the What Car target price.... then finding an online car dealer (like jamjar.com or autoebid.com) and see what prices they can get.
Then head down to your dealer with proof that you can get a cheaper car online and that if they can match or better it you'll buy from them.

Then, head to several dealerships in your town/area and play them against each other!



Why should you be screwed over by the dealer?? I mean we're the ones buying the car right??

d) after about 10k I started getting a ticking noise in the engine after working it hard (ie driving for about an hour in hot weather) - possibly something to do with the turbo?!?

I get this ticking noise too on my TDi Ref Sport after driving for an hour or so !!!
Anyone else get this ? know what it is ?
